Change What You're Hearing

The Word of God does not depart out of my mouth. Joshua 1:8

Have you every been frustrated with yourself...because of what you hear coming out of your mouth?  Jesus said that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45).  If you're focusing most of your attention on natural things- like what is on tv, movies, thinking about  worldly matters, worrying about your job and family- then that's what your going to talk about.  This is a big subject for me, over the last year I really have had to choose to refocus my attention.  Turning my attention more and more toward God's Word and keeping it there.   In everyday terms Joshua 1:8 says "Talk the Word."  When I say talk the Word, I don't mean just every now and then when we feel spiritual, I mean continually. Deuteromony 6:7, God said we should talk His Word, "When we sit at  home and when we walk along the road, when we lie down and when we get up."  That is pretty much all the time isn't it?   At home, at work, in the grocery store - where ever we are, keeping the Word of God in our mouth.  I pray you and I will start today filling our hearts with an abundance of the Word.  Then our talk will begin to get in line with what God says about our future and circumtances. His wonderful promises of hope, help and healing.

New Season-2010

Happy New Year! Wow already one week into the new year, bet this year will fly by just like last year did. I so desire to enjoy everyday and live and love life, because life is a blessing from Heaven. Let's not miss our purpose here on earth, and that is sharing the GOOD NEWS. 2010 is a New Season for our family, so many blessings are coming our way, I just know it in the depths of my soul. Every time I think about my little granddaughter being fearfully and wonderfully made in her Mommie's tummy, joy just wells up in me. She will be with us soon to love, cuddly and teach about the good things of God. Y'all I will never be the same, and that is a good thing. Have heard over and over from family and friends what a blessing grandchildren are, now I can experience it for myself and tell others the wonders of it all.

I have been making and doing and buying all kinds of cute things for Carly. Very soon a new baby doll will arrive in the mail. Check out Blabla Kids, those are the cutest little dolls, so colorful fun to look at. Hope she will like playing with it one day.

This will be Carly's "Mini Violet"

Glory to God in the Highest

I enjoy reading in Luke about when Jesus was born. Today I was reading Chapter 2 about the wonderful account of what all happened. Take the time to read it yourself, you won't be sorry. Verse 14 is one of my favorites, it says -suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and say, "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased." Firmly Planted

All around me are people that need hope, help and healing.
Today I was reading Psalm 1 and instructed what to do.
I pray you & I will stand firm not looking back,
trusting Father God with our future and live and
love life today with Jesus guiding us every step of the way.

BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.

And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]. Now that is good! Psalm 1:1-3 AMP Bible

TRUST

Today someone asked me to paint a cross picture for them using Proverbs 3:5-6, so I have been thinking about it a lot, that scripture keeps running through my mind. And I know why- it is a WORD for me today and tomorrow and the next day and so on and so on. Let's meditate on it together.

Morning by Morning

Every morning when the Lord awakens me, it is important for me to start my day off in a right way. For me, I lift my hands up in praise to Him, or bow down on my knees and speak His Word at loud. The verse above is one of my favorites! Join me and lets praise our God every day and rejoice and be glad in it.
